Back by popular demand, Yoga Nidra is back! Dubbed as "yogic sleep", Yoga Nidra brings participants to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, the deepest possible state of relaxation while still remain fully conscious.
Scientific evidence has shown that Yoga Nidra helps relieve stress, tension and anxiety. The US Army has adopted Yoga Nidra to aid in soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
This Yoga Nidra session will begin with a short warm up. Then you will be lead verbally to relax your body and become increasingly aware of your inner world. Unlike meditation which requires a single point of focus, Yoga Nidra will keep participants' senses in a light state of withdrawal.
Come dressed comfortably and bring a yoga mat, blanket, sleeping pad, pillow -- anything that you will need to be able to lay still for an hour on the floor.
